I don’t tend to decorate a lot for Easter. With a house full of girls, my energy was always spent making Easter dresses and finding fancy socks (or gloves in this case).
But those days are gone now so I have decided to try my hand at a little decorating.
I remembered back to when my best friend’s son was getting married…we made these cute place cards for the reception…

I think they scream “Spring!” so I decided to make some for Easter this year.
First, I grabbed some index cards and cut them into 3×3 squares…
I didn’t have any white card stock handy so the index cards worked perfectly. I then folded the square in half.
See that little line on the side of the stamp? We marked the stamp halfway and then matched up the mark with the fold mark on the square. This is so every bird would be placed the same on the placecard.
We stamped the bird so it looked like this…
We then cut out the top half of the bird with an X-Acto knife.
You can see how the bird now looks like he just landed on the card…
I loved them at the wedding, but I am really excited about using them for Easter this year.

What Easter decorations are you making this year?

I’m linking up at…

Well I’ll let you in on a secret… if you notice …the mother’s of boys always look better on Easter than the mothers of girls…we have know time left for us by the time we get done doing everyone elses hair.
