This is daughter #1

She just sold her house and moved into a beautiful townhouse. It has been so fun seeing her old stuff look new again as they are being placed in a new envorment….hmmm wonder if that would work for me? Hehehee
Daughter #3 just had a baby and is in need of gall bladder surgery. Since her husband is in the army and she lives across the country she decided to come here for it. There are many willing hands to hold that baby..

Remember we are living in our 500 sq. foot cottage…

so we all decided it would be best if they stayed with sister #1
Sister #3 walks into the new place and looks around and thinks how pretty the place is…she makes nice comments…all is happy.
In walks #2 sister…

She walks around ooo and awwwing…daughter #3 is thinking to her self…yea..this is REALLY nice…
The next day daughter #3 says to me..”.I’ve decided I need to work on my gushing skills”….
I cracked up….I can’t tell you how many times I have thought that in my life. I often hold back my emotions way to much. Why don’t I say how beautiful I think something or someone is? Why can’t I squeal with delight over things? Daughter #2 has a real gift for gushing…but just because it doesn’t come naturally for some us, that doesn’t mean we also can’t become gushers, does it?
If I could change just one thing about myself this just might be it… I love when people get excited…what a great gift that would be to be able to share my excitement with others.
Are you a gusher? Do you have any suggestions on how to become a good gusher?

Let me think , oohhhh yes I am!!!!!!!!!
When I grow up I want to be a gusher slso.
I don’t think it will happen but I can try.

Maybe if we try to gush once every day about something we too can be gushers
I could really improve my gushing skills. I really thing some people have them, and some people don’t.
I am thinking there should be a gusher support group…we could all get together and practice gushing …hehehee
Speaking of gushing, I love the picture of the 3 of you in front of your cottage. I got tickled when I saw the 1 square of grass. Is that a sprinkler on top of it? Gushing laughter right now!!!!
Funny story about the sprinkler…my brother and his wife gave the sod…bird and sprinkler to us as a “house warming gift”…I thought it was funny…then my daughter’s friends came over they got all excited and said lets go “run” around the yard. You should have seen it with 3 tweens running in circles around that piece of sod with the sprinkler going….It was such a happy memory to start this journey
Ha! My family makes so much fun of me because of my “gushing”! It’s always. . .”we want to see how you react. . .it’s always so over-the-top”. . .but here’s the thing: it’s *real*. I genuinely usually always love the gift, or at least the thought behind it. One of my kids is like that and my family members always say “your mom taught you that”. . .I don’t think so. . .I think it’s real. I really and truly say it when I love something. . .my thought is, though, I hope it’s not coming out as insincere. On the flip side of that, though, is that I am good about showing my dissatisfaction too. . .much to my husband’s dismay. He wishes I was a bit more “political” about things. So gushing can go both ways. . .
