I saw this the other day at

It made me smile. I remember those days of neighborhood kids showing up and then our wonderful family time interrupted. We were blessed with great neighborhood kids when my kids were small…but still, sometimes you are in the midst of one of those cherished family moments and you just don’t want it to end.
Even if you send the kids away with a polite ….I’m sorry but we are having family time right now…you still have a hard time recapturing what you had.
I thought this mom’s solution was clever….I would love to hear how you protect your family time.
We had a great family weekend…hope you did too.

I really need to do this. Just yesterday, 5 little neighbor girls stopped by to see if little Chloe could play. Nana was visiting for the day, so the answer was no. Oh, did we have a hard time getting Chloe back in the groove with the family. Thank you for sharing. Wishing you a grand evening. Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse
My daughter has the same problem with the neighbor kids. They come during naptime, mealtime, etc. She needs to put a sign on the door like this! Great idea!
