As we are building this house of ours there are many things that I am learning…the biggest thing is….
JUST ASK
Over and over again I think of something I want and I find myself thinking…that can’t be done…or we can’t afford it, but if I ask often the answer is sure.
As I was anticipating the house being torn down, I found myself staring at the air conditioner a lot…
We had paid a lot of money for that air conditioner just about 5 years ago and I knew that it had hardly been used. Now it was going to end up in the dump. I would like to say that I was enviromentally concerned but the truth is I was just thinking about myself.
We have been doing really well living in our little cottage
but what you don’t see from this picture is this….
This little wall unit keeps us relatively cool………in the living room but in the bedroom not so much…and the bathroom is REALLY hot. I am living without a bedroom for my husband and me…I am living without a dishwasher or a washer or dryer, but I really wanted central air.
I mentioned to my husband the possiblity of moving the air to the cottage and he said it couldn’t be done…hmmmm ok…soon I was asking again. This time he asked our builder…no it’s too big…hmmmm ok….I needed to ask one more time. This time my husband decided to call the air condition man and see what he had to say.
Guess what….it is possible!
So Mr. Amazing got the guy that was knocking down the house to help him get the air conditioner down off the roof. And it was professionally installed next to my cottage….
Yes it’s a bit large for the space, but it works. When it comes time for the cottage to get it’s outside makeover we will work on making it look a bit better.
But for now my little cottage is so nice and cool….and quiet.
Thank you whoever invented central air conditioning….I love you!
The moral to this story is…if you want something just ASK….maybe a couple of times.
Stay tuned…there are more just ask stories to come.

Good for you – I’ve gotten A LOT better about not believing it every time someone tells me “no, can’t be done”!
Sometimes you just have to find the right person to ask!
