My Advice..Take Lots of Pictures

I was advised by a few people to take lots of pictures before the drywall went in and I am so glad that I did. What seems so obvious is hard to remember later, so I am also glad that I wrote on the back of each of the pictures telling exactly what we are looking at. You can see in the one picture a large white board….someone had suggested writing on the white board what wall you are looking at, but I found the glare made it almost impossible to read so I abandoned the board.

You may wonder why we would ever need to know any of this…well for one, the drywallers drywalled over our niche’s in the shower for the shampoo….my contracter looked at the wall and said…hmmm I wonder where that is? Tada!!!! Out comes my handie dandie pictures!

I could also see me deciding to hang something large beside my electrical box some day…who would ever think there might be all these wires beside it?

So if you are building….my advice..take lots of pictures…

…and don’t forget to mark them.
