My First Blog Conference

I got the chance to attend my first blogging conference this weekend in Orlando…the Central Florida Bloggers Conference.

I had signed up to go to a conference once when I first started blogging but due to unexpected events I had to cancel going. Since then life got busy and quite frankly the idea of going to one hadn’t even entered my mind again.

That is until my daughter, The Wannabe Athlete, called and asked me to go with her. She was to be one of the speakers and since she is very pregnant, she didn’t really think she should travel by herself. There are not many times when you get to run away with your adult daughter so I jumped at the chance.

It is a small conference compared to the BlogHer ones but everyone was soooo nice and the speakers did a wonderful job….even the ones that aren’t my daughter…lol.

So you might wonder if a blog conference is something that would be helpful for someone like you to go to…

YES.

I know what you are thinking.

“But I just started blogging…”

Or

“My blog isn’t that big…”

I was really surprised by all the different bloggers that were there. Yes, there were the big wigs…the ones like my daughter who have more than 25,000 page views a month. But there were people there with even smaller blogs than mine. I heard a few people say that their blog is so new that they have yet to find their niche.

I truly believe that there was something for everyone at this blog conference so if you have never been to one think about signing up for one. If you have been to a conference before let me know which ones and what you thought…I would love to do another one with my daughter sometime.
