I have a question..does …or did…your child have a sleep buddy?
Out of my four kids, only one child really did. The child that the world saw as my most independent had a secret. Well it wasn’t really a secret…her teddy bear went everywhere with her. She slept with him every night until she got married….and I would imagine he still comes out on those nights that she is by herself. Her teddy…or Cuby as we refer to him, had a place of honor in her wedding..

So it would stand to reason that her son would also have a sleep buddy. His choice….the blankie that his aunt made for him before he was born.

Well tonight we got a panic phone call from our daughter…she is very pregnant, so we dive for the phone whenever she calls…this time my husband heard nothing but crying. Luckily it was him…he tends to not panic as fast as I do. Finally he learned that our grandson had left his blankie at school. My daughter was aching with mommy guilt…which of course made my heart ache.
So the message behind this blog post…

When you need to you can make a back up blankie in five minutes. Or if you are making one of these tag blankets for a gift…make two. The mom will thank you later.

Diane…be aware that the company Taggie is awful!!! Years ago I made some blankets for Miss V and had them on our old family website. Well I got a Cease and desist letter from their attorney’s so did a few other ladies that I am friend with. They gave me 7 days to remove all pictures from my website or they would start the process of suing me for paten infrigement. You can google for more information.
wow….thanks Lynn for the warning
