I mentioned before that I decided to go with Emtek for all my door hardware. I guess I need to mention right up front that I am not getting paid by Emtek for this post.
I loved right away how they felt and the look of their rubbed bronze. Trying to figure out what finish I was going to use was the hardest for me. At times I felt like my head wouldn’t stop spinning. I loved the bronze but I wondered how that would look with the black doors.
There where days when I was changing every door to look different…White dooors would have bronze…black doors silver but in the end I wanted more consistancy. I was already going on a limb with the different color doors…http://www.theinspiredhousewife.com/2012/10/doors-how-hard-can-it-be/
Then I found these…
I love …love …love my door handles! I can’t begin to explain to you how beautiful they look in person up against my black doors. They were a bit more expensive than the lever knobs, so I decided to go with these on all the white doors.
Once again I was nervous about the mix and matching thing, but it really works.
Now for the one thing I don’t like about my knobs…I don’t know if you can see it in this picture very well but that thing that looks like a screw that wasn’t screwed in all the way…that is the lock.
My brother came out of the bathroom swearing that there was no way to lock the door. I am not sure what I am going to do to fix this problem. I do feel like my guests should be able to find the lock.
I might put on the guest bath the same thing we have on our bedroom door.
No one is getting in that door….lol
