If you follow me on facebook then you know that too much sitting can cause me to want to start moving things around. I had surgery two weeks ago and I am not suppose to do anything for another four. My husband so sweetly asked me what I wanted to do the other day and my eyes lit up. I’m not sure he will be asking that again….hehehhee.
Here is my what my living room has looked like.
It has been nice, but for some reason it just hasn’t felt user friendly. Whenever you wanted to go to the kitchen you had quite the hike to just get around the couch.
So I had him spin the furniture
Now when someone walks in the house or up the stairs, you can see them…
It has also visually opened up the dining room and kitchen.
The room still needs some decorating tweeking, but so far I am really liking it.
Do you have a living room that says “come on in?”…..or one that says “come over here in this cozy spot?”
Have you ever considered spinning your room around? You might be surprised how different it can make your whole house look.

I need a couch like that. Would you share where you found it? What did you do with the TV?
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
If you look real hard at the pictures you can see the TV in one of them…I like it because you don’t see the TV from the front door like before. I love my couch…it is from Bernhardt…not sure if I spelled that right. The leather is so soft.
I do like the room that says Come on In! I love your room. I have a couch from Bernhardt and aren’t they the most comfortable? Love your post as always talented lady.
I spin my around so much that my husband is dizzy….I love change. Your living room is beautiful. Wish had as much room to move mine around, however, love doing it and won’t ever stop.
hehehehee…my husband calls me Stevie Wonders nightmare..
Like it soooo much better! Great idea!!
I swung mine around and love the result. I love yours, too! Nice job!
Love it! Also I just noticed that big decorative window you have in the entry hall–I’m swooning!
