Have I mentioned lately how much I love where I live?

My family came to this town in 1971 when I was a young girl and I have never wanted to live anywhere else. Sure …there are lots of beautiful places out there, but this is my home. This is where I can, on any day, run into a friend from Middle School or one of my mother’s friends that prayed for me thru my teen years. Not only that. but all but one of my children have come back here to live….my brother and his wife have moved back here too. Home is where those you love are….so this is my home.
I may call this place home, but for others it is a place that they work all year to come to on vacation. Because of that, we have all kinds of awesome stuff that happens around here in the winter. Today was one of our annual craft shows. Two of my daughters and I decided to stroll down and look around. What a beautiful morning!
The craft show was full of all kind of wonderful things including food.
But my favorite this time had to be these wonderful bow ties for dogs.

I can’t begin to tell you how cute they are! They even had cute bows for the girl dogs.
You can check out their etsy shop at http://www.etsy.com/shop/BowWowCouture?ref=si_shop/gingerella-in-lime.html
I can tell you that not only was their fabric choices beautiful but the quality of their work was great.
If you live in a place that others come to visit, take time to see your town the way others might and enjoy!

Dianne, where in Florida do you live? I’m getting ready to retire and it looks like Florida might be the place. We used to vacation there when I was a kid…..Bradenton, Sarasota, etc. We aren’t sure if we’ll choose a retirement community or a regular suburb. The area surrounding that Craft show looked beautiful. I have enjoyed looking around your blog.
Thanks
Cathy
Cathy….I live right in that area…in Venice. I love my town. It’s small and cozy yet big enough to have things going on. It is also close enough to big cities if you want to take in any big things. Let me know what you decide.
